Permann Grabs Florida Winter Nationals Crown

VINTON, Iowa — The 2026 Florida Winter Nationals for the Stealth Racing IMCA STARS Mod Lites featured an eight-race tour across three Sunshine State facilities, as drivers competed at Hendry County Motorsports Park, Marion County Speedway and Ocala Speedway.

Forty-two competitors took part in at least one event, representing nine U.S. states and the Canadian province of Quebec, showcasing the division’s growing national reach during the annual winter showcase.

Dylan Permann of Port St. Lucie, Florida, emerged as the overall points champion following a consistent weeklong performance. Permann made seven feature starts, highlighted by five top-five finishes and six top-10s. His best finish came in the Bullring Bonanza at Marion County Speedway on February 10, where he drove to a fifth-place result that helped anchor his title run.

Carson Hubbard of Fredericktown, Ohio, finished second in the final standings after starting all eight features. Hubbard recorded five top-five finishes and six top-10s, with his best performance a third-place finish at Marion County Speedway on February 9.

Third in points went to Bakersfield, California’s Riley Clem, who delivered one of the most dominant stretches of the series. Clem swept the Sugar Bowl weekend at Hendry County Motorsports Park with back-to-back victories on February 6 and 7. The 2024 Speedway Motors IMCA Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s winner finished the series with three wins, four top-five finishes, and five top-10s in six starts.

Cape Coral, Florida’s Larry Hubbard Jr. placed fourth in points. Hubbard Jr. made eight feature starts and produced a series of steady runs, collecting one top-five finish and four top-10s, with his best result a fourth-place finish in the Bullring Bonanza at Marion County Speedway on February 10.

Jean-Francois Le Blanc of Wickham, Quebec, rounded out the top five in the standings. Competing in all eight features, Le Blanc recorded three top-10 finishes, with his best run a fifth-place effort at Hendry County Motorsports Park on February 6.

Bill Leonard, Tyler Garey, Scott Jordan, Brandon Dennis, and Ronnie Choate completed the remainder of the top 10 in the final Florida Winter Nationals standings.

Drivers competing in the 2026 Florida Winter Nationals represented Florida, Missouri, Delaware, Tennessee, California, Ohio, Texas, Maryland, Pennsylvania, and Quebec.
