Logan Powers Throttles Thunder Road Foes

BARRE, Vt. — Despite a bleak forecast, more than 100 race cars signed in at Thunder Road Int’l Speedbowl on Thursday night.

The Flying Tigers took center stage at the quarter-mile race track with Logan Powers winning the 75-lap main event, holding off Brendan Moodie for the victory.

Cameron Ouellette, Rich Lowrey and Sam Caron completed the top five.

It was a familiar winner in the late model division, as youngster Kaiden Fisher topped the 50-lap main event for his second consecutive victory.

Cody Blake was second, with Tanner Woodard, Scott Dragon and Marcel Gravel completing the top five.

Tyler Wheatley won the street stock feature and Mike Slingerland bested the road warrior field.
