CASA GRANDE, Ariz. — Even more action is being added to the final night of the 2026 Rio Grande Waste Services Wild West Shootout presented by O’Reilly Auto Parts, as event officials announce the addition of IMCA Stock Cars to the Sunday, Jan. 18 program.
The Prelude to the Winter Nationals presented by Black Magic Bead Breaker will feature heat races and a 20-lap main event only, run under official IMCA Stock Car rules at FK Rod Ends Central Arizona Raceway presented by Low Voltage Solutions, Inc. The race will award IMCA state, regional, and national points and will pay $750 to win and $75 to start with an additional $250 going to the main event winner from Black Magic Bead Breaker for a total of $1,000 to win.
The race will serve as a tuneup opportunity for Stock Car competitors gearing up for the IMCA Winter Nationals, which will take place at Central Arizona Raceway over the two weeks following the Wild West Shootout.
Stock Cars are scheduled to compete during all eight race nights of the IMCA Winter Nationals, set for Jan. 21–31. SportMods, Modifieds, and Hobby Stocks will also be in action every night, while Mod-Lites are slated for the first four nights, Jan. 21–24. The IMCA Winter Nationals kicks off with a practice session on Tuesday, Jan. 20.
The 2026 Wild West Shootout runs January 10, 11, 14, 16, 17 & 18, featuring six complete programs for Super Late Models, Modifieds, and X-Mods. This year marks a true homecoming as the event returns to Central Arizona Raceway, the same facility where the Wild West Shootout first began two decades ago, for its 20th anniversary.
