Emerling & Davis Sing Winning Notes

NEW SMYRNA BEACH, Fla. — It was a star-studded night on the seventh day of the 60th running of the World Series of Asphalt Stock Car Racing at New Smryna Speedway.

Patrick Emerling headlined the winners with a triumph in the John Blewett Memorial for Tour-type modifieds.

Emerling, who bounced back from adversity earlier in the week, beat Ronnie Williams to the checkered flag by .703 seconds on the half-mile asphalt track.


Austin Beers finished third, while Burt Myers and Cam McDermott completed the top five.

Spencer Davis passed Jade Avedisian with nine laps remaining and went on to win the super late model feature and extend his World Series point lead.

Avedisian finished second, with Anthony Bello, Max Reaves and George Phillips completing the top five.

Reaves won the pro late model feature, Paulie Hartwig III topped the 602 modifieds and Kaden Honeycutt won the Florida Modified feature.
