Thornton Stars In Gateway Modified Run

ST. LOUIS — Ricky Thornton Jr. raced from the pole to win Thursday night’s UMP modified feature inside The Dome at The Americas.

The event is part of the annual Kubota Gateway Dirt Nationals.


Thornton won the 20-lap race on the fifth-mile temporary track ahead of Dallon Murty and Trent Young. All three podium finishers locked into Saturday’s finale.

Tanner Mullens and Dylan Sharp completed the top five.
