SEALED UNDER PRESSURE: Tim McCreadie Wins Sunshine Nationals At Volusia

The World of Outlaws Late Model Series kicked off the 2026 campaign with the three nights of racing during the Sunshine Nationals at Florida’s Volusia Speedway Park. When the final checkered flag waved, 51-year-old New Yorker Tim McCreadie was standing in victory lane.

Starting his Boom Briggs Transport No. 9 10 th on the grid, McCreadie went to the bottom of the half-mile race track and steadily worked his way toward the front. He took the lead on lap 22 and set the pace for 11 laps before losing the point to Ryan Gustin.However, McCreadie wasn’t finished. He passed Gustin for the final time on lap 36 and led the final 14 laps to bank $20,000 for his first victory of the season, beating Brandon Sheppard to the finish by 1.687 seconds.

It was McCreadie’s 40th World of Outlaws triumph. Chris Madden and Hudson O’Neal won preliminary night features.
