CLEWISTON, Fla. — The 75-lap Crate Racin’ USA dirt late model feature at Hendry County Motorsports Park delivered exactly what fans came to see: patience, power and plenty of position shuffling on the tight South Florida clay.
Deisel Jones of Alabaster, Alabama methodically worked his way forward from the fifth starting spot and took control when it mattered most, leading the closing laps to score the CRUSA victory. Jones stayed smooth through traffic and avoided trouble in a race that tested both equipment and discipline over the long green-flag runs.
He earned $12,000 for the victory.
Clay Harris put together a strong run for the hometown crowd, advancing two positions from fourth to finish second. Harris stayed within striking distance late but could not reel in Jones as the laps wound down.
Daulton Wilson, who rolled off second, remained a factor all night and brought his machine home third after battling inside the top five for much of the event.
One of the standout performances of the night belonged to Sam Seawright. Starting 10th, Seawright charged through the field to finish fourth, gaining six positions and earning hard charger respect along the way.
Polesitter Christian Schneider led early and remained in contention throughout, but ultimately slipped back to fifth at the checkered flag after pacing portions of the race.
