Davenport Cashes $20,000 Peach State Check

SENOIA, Ga. — Topping a feature event that had more twists and turns than the best afternoon soap opera, Jonathan Davenport collected $20,000 for the FloRacing Night in America presented by Kubota Friday night victory at Senoia Raceway.

The chaos-filled finale included a lap 27 for Davenport, who spun to miss a spun Tyler Millwood in front of him. Series officials deemed that Davenport spun to missed Millwood before contact was made and reinstated him as the leader.

While Davenport went on to pace the remainder of the finale, the full-moon antics were far from over. Exiting turn 3 on lap 45, 20th-starthing Bobby Pierce was spun from the top 10, when he and Kyle Bronson made hard contact. However, Pierce kept his car running in reverse before spinning around to keep rolling as the caution lights flashed around the three-eighths-mile oval.

Much like Davenport earlier in the race, Pierce received a redemption after officials decided that his tires never stopped moving. Via the blend rule he was reinstated in the position, in which he was running when the caution flew.

Davenport raced away from a persistent Tim McCreadie to finish second, while eighth-starting Devin Moran completed the podium.

Ryan Gustin finished fourth with Trey Mills recording a fifth-place finish.
The finish:
