10 Races For Valvoline Weekend Allstars

SOMERSET, Ky. — Officials with the Valvoline American Late Model Iron-Man Series fueled by VP announced the Valvoline Weekend Allstars mini-tour within the series.

The 10-race schedule will have its own separate points fund in which drivers can compete to be a Weekend Warrior and earn some extra money within the 37-race schedule.

“This was designed last year with the intention of giving some extra money to drivers that may not be able to compete in a full schedule but still would like to race in a series for some recognition and extra money,” stated Chris Tilley, series promoter. “Last year we only paid one spot and this year we wanted to make it like our other tour and pay 10 spots.”

Drivers also have the opportunity to chase the $23,000-to-win Valvoline American Late Model Iron-Man Series title, plus eligible drivers can compete for the FloRacing Rookie of the Year title paying $2,500 to the champion.

Drivers will receive DIRTcar points, regional points, series points and Weekend Allstar points. Drivers are encouraged to be DIRTcar members to receive these extra incentives and bonuses. Colten Burdette is the defending Valvoline Weekend Allstars Champion.

To be eligible for the points fund, at least seven of the scheduled events must be competed. All top 10 drivers no matter how many races they compete in, will receive money based on an extra $6,050 fund.
