BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — Jace Hale put a lid on the CARS Tour West Pro Late Model championship with a victory in Saturday night’s season finale at Kevin Harvick’s Kern Raceway.
Hale started fourth in the 100-lap event and took the checkered flag ahead of ninth-starter Taylor Mayhew.
The victory capped a stellar season for Hale, which included his first series championship aboard the No. 15 pro late model machine.
Vito Cancilla, Colton Hale and Kyle Keller rounded out the top five.
Sean Woodside won the 75-lap limited late model main event.
