Pollard Inherits New Smyrna Late Model Triumph

NEW SMYRNA BEACH, Fla. — Bubba Pollard was the beneficiary of the disqualification of Max Reaves to win the super late model portion of Sunday’s David Rogers Memorial Red Eye 60 at New Smyrna Speedway.

Reaves started on the pole and took the checkered flag first in the 60-lap event. However, he was disqualified from the victory, handing the win to Pollard.

Teenager Tristan McKee was elevated to second, while George Phillips, Cody Brinson and Daniel Webster completed the top five.

Reaves was also disqualified from the pro late model main event after taking the checkered flag first. That result saw Jimmy Renfrew Jr. inherit the victory.
