Keelan Harvick ‘Hopes To Learn’ In Thanksgiving Classic

LACAMA, N.C. — Keelan Harvick is looking forward to returning to Southern National Motorsports Park, this time to compete in the 250-lap Late Model Stock Car race at the Thanksgiving Classic on Sunday.

Harvick, who is the son of 2014 NASCAR Cup Series champion Kevin Harvick, has multiple wins at Southern National in a Legend Car. This weekend, the 13-year-old prodigy will take on the high-banked four-tenths-mile track in a Late Model Stock Car just days removed from a top five finish in the South Carolina 400 at Florence Motor Speedway.

“I’ve only competed in a Legend Car at the Thanksgiving Classic, so I’m excited to come back in a Late Model Stock for the first time,” Harvick said. “My goal is to complete all the laps and learn as much as I can.”

Harvick has racked up multiple wins in a Pro Late Model in 2025 but now is making the move into Late Model Stock Cars. At Florence, he qualified second for the South Carolina 400 and survived the chaos to finish fifth, rebounding after being involved in a mid-race incident.

The main lesson learned at Florence was tire conservation, a lesson he will have to apply at Southern National.

“The main thing I learned at Florence in the Late Model Stock was how to save my tires,” Harvick stated. “I know tire management will be important in the Thanksgiving Classic.”

Harvick is one of 29 Late Model Stocks who will compete in the URA-sanctioned Thanksgiving Classic, which is also the final race in the Inaugural I-95 Showdown.
