WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — The Cook Out Clash events on Saturday, Jan. 31, including NASCAR Cup Series practice, qualifying, and heat races, have been postponed out of an abundance of caution due to expected winter weather.
The Cook Out Madhouse Classic featuring the NASCAR Weekly Series’ Modified and Sportsman divisions has been postponed. A future date will be announced.
The Clash Preview at the Winston-Salem Fairgrounds Event Center is still scheduled on Friday, Jan. 30 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The brand-new event will serve as the official start to the action at Bowman Gray Stadium, offering unprecedented access to NASCAR Cup Series cars and drivers, live entertainment and more before the race weekend gets underway.
The Clash Fan Fest across the street from Bowman Gray Stadium will no longer be open this weekend.
The Cook Out Clash is still scheduled for Sunday, Feb. 1. Practice and qualifying is scheduled from 2 to 4 p.m. ET and will be broadcast live on FS2. The Last Chance Qualifier is scheduled for 6 p.m. ET live on FOX. NASCAR Race Day on FOX will begin at 7:30 p.m. ET on FOX, followed by the Cook Out Clash at 8 p.m. ET live on FOX.
NASCAR is working closely with the City of Winston-Salem to monitor expected winter weather.
