DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. — Ty Majeski won the pole for Friday night’s Fresh From Florida 250 at Daytona Int’l Speedway.
The event is the season opener for the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series.
Majeski, the 2024 series champion drove the No. 88 ThorSport Racing Ford to a lap of 50.991 seconds at 176.883 mph to earn the 12th pole of his career and his third at Daytona. His 12 poles are the most among active drivers in the series.
Michael McDowell will start second in a Spire Motorsports Chevrolet, while Tanner Gray earned the third position in a Toyota.
McDowell’s Spire teammate, Carson Hocevar, and Grant Enfinger rounded out the top five.
Three-time NASCAR Cup Series champion Tony Stewart will start 15th in a Kaulig Motorsports Dodge in what is his first NASCAR race since 2016 and his first Truck Series event since 2005.
