WELCOME, N.C. — Veteran NASCAR driver Corey LaJoie will drive Kaulig Racing’s No. 25 Ram 1500 in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race March 20 at Darlington Raceway as the latest participant in Ram’s Free Agent Driver Program.
The program, part of Ram’s return to NASCAR after a 13-year hiatus, puts a rotating cast of experienced drivers, rising stars and available talents behind the wheel of the No. 25 Ram 1500 each week in 2026.
NASCAR Hall of Famer Tony Stewart launched the initiative in the season opener at Daytona International Speedway, Ty Dillon drove at EchoPark Speedway in Atlanta, and Colin Braun will pilot the truck this afternoon in the Grand Prix of St. Petersburg.
New drivers are typically unveiled before the previous race, mixing proven veterans with fresh faces for a dynamic weekly lineup of Ram-powered trucks.
“It’s always fun getting to drive a NASCAR truck, especially at the track ‘Too Tough to Tame,’” LaJoie said. “Ram’s program is a breath of fresh air into the sport, and I’m fired up to have a shot to wheel one for Kaulig Racing. This group has worked incredibly hard to get these teams going, so I’m going to give them all I’ve got to put in a great day in the office.”
The series visits the 1.366-mile egg-shaped oval at Darlington Raceway — nicknamed “The Track Too Tough to Tame” — for the 200-mile race as part of the NASCAR weekend. The race is scheduled for 147 laps and airs on FS1 at 7:30 p.m. ET.
LaJoie, 34, of Concord, North Carolina, is a third-generation racer; his father, Randy LaJoie, claimed two NASCAR Xfinity Series championships. He built early momentum with six wins in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East and three ARCA Menards Series victories. Across NASCAR’s national series, LaJoie has made more than 270 Cup Series starts since debuting in 2014, recording multiple top-5 and top-10 finishes with standout runs at superspeedways and road courses, plus part-time efforts in the Truck and O’Reilly Auto Parts Series.
Recently, he competed in select truck races, served as a reserve driver for RFK Racing in the NASCAR Cup Series, and attempted to qualify for the Daytona 500 in the No. 99 before a late Duel crash ended his bid.
He’ll join a strong Kaulig Racing contingent in Darlington, S.C. The team fields five full-time Ram trucks in 2026 — its inaugural season as Ram’s primary partner in the series. The lineup features Brenden “Butterbean” Queen, Daniel Dye, Justin Haley, and Timothy “Mini” Tyrrell.
