Jake Garcia Claims Truck Series Pole

BRISTOL, Tenn. — Twenty-year-old Jake Garcia won the pole for Thursday night’s UNOH 250 presented by Ohio Logistics NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race at Bristol Motor Speedway.

Garcia, who is among the Playoff drivers, drove the No. 13 ThorSport Ford to a lap of 15.249 seconds to edge point leader Corey Heim for the pole.

It is Garcia’s third pole of the season and his third in 70 career Truck Series starts.

Heim’s TRICON Garage Toyota starts outside the front row, while Tyler Ankrum grabbed the third spot in a McAnally-Hilgerman Chevrolet.

Kaden Honeycutt claimed fourth in the Halsmar Toyota normally driven by injured driver Stewart Friesen, while rookie Corey Day starts fifth in a Spire Motorsports Chevrolet.

Ty Majeski, Layne Riggs, Chandler Smith, Grant Enfinger and Rajah Caruth completed the top 10.
