ARCA Notes: Reaves Among Phoenix Entries

AVONDALE, Ariz. — The ARCA Menards Series and ARCA Menards Series West will combine to contest the General Tire 150 on Thursday at Phoenix Raceway.

The race will pay full points for both series; the winner will be credited with a victory in both series.

After winning the ARCA Menards Series opener at Daytona International Speedway with Gio Ruggiero, Joe Gibbs Racing has entered 16-year-old Max Reaves (No. 18 Cook Out Toyota) for the second event of the season at Phoenix Raceway.

Reaves won three ARCA Menards Series races in 2025 at Elko Speedway, Madison International Speedway, and Toledo Speedway and three ARCA Menards Series East races at Five Flags Speedway, Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway and Flat Rock Speedway. Reaves is the protégé of 2000 NASCAR Cup Series champion Bobby Labonte.

• Mason Massey (No. 19 Brunt Boots / Mongoose Power Solutions Chevrolet) will make his second career ARCA Menards Series West appearance and first ever in the ARCA Menards Series. He will be looking to match the feat he made in his West debut on Saturday at Kevin Harvick’s Kern Raceway when he became the 30th driver in series history to win in his debut.

• Pinnacle Racing Group will have two talented teenagers at the control of their entries at Phoenix with Carson Brown (No. 28 Distributor Wire and Cable Chevrolet) and Tristan McKee (No. 77 Miner Chevrolet). McKee won in his debut last August at Watkins Glen International; Brown launched his 2026 racing season with a victory in the Appalachian Sucker Punch ASA STARS National Tour opener at New Smyrna Speedway in February.

• Hailie Deegan (No. 16 NAPA Auto Care / Monster Energy Chevrolet) will make her first ARCA Menards Series start since 2020 in her return to Bill McAnally Racing’s ARCA Menards Series West program. Deegan, the West’s first female winner with three career series wins, finished sixth on Saturday at Kern.

• Jade Avedisian (No. 90 Yahoo Toyota) scored her first ARCA Menards Series West Sioux Chief PowerPEX Pole Award on Saturday night at Kern; she finished eighth. Avedisian will be making her second appearance at Phoenix, she finished 19th in the 2025 West finale after an early-race scrape with the outside wall.

• Taylor Mayhew (No. 17 MMI Services Chevrolet), the 15-year-old son of seven-time West Series winner David Mayhew, finished third in his series debut at Kern on Saturday. The younger Mayhew will make his ARCA Menards Series debut at Phoenix, where his father won the West race from the pole in 2012.

• Taylor Reimer (No. 13 Central Coast Cabinets Toyota) will make her second appearance of the season, and her first driving for 2024 ARCA Menards Series West owner champion Kelly Souza. Reimer finished 30th at Daytona despite running at the front of the field for much of the day in a Pinnacle Racing Group entry. She finished a career-best third at the Illinois State Fairgrounds in 2024.

• There are five female drivers entered: Deegan, Avedisian, Reimer. Isabella Robusto (No. 55 Mobil 1 Toyota) and Mia Lovell (No. 15 Pine Health Toyota). Three of them, Lovell, Robusto, and Avedisian, are teammates at Nitro Motorsports.
