SYLVANIA, Ga. — Brandon Overton swept the Winter Freeze XVI weekend at Screven Motor Sports Complex, winning Saturday night’s finale of the Southern All Star Series-sanctioned event.
Starting outside the front row, Overton led all but two of the 50 laps to bank the $25,000 top prize. He regained the lead from Daulton Wilson on lap nine and was never headed the remainder of the distance.
Wilson finished second, with Ryan Gustin, Payton Freeman and Benji Hicks completed the top five.
Overton’s brother, Cody, won the 602 late model feature.
