ENSENADA, Mexico — The BFGoodrich Tires 58th SCORE Baja 1000 was claimed by Tyler Lynn, Carter Klein and David Kamo of the Slam Life Racing/Honda team, who dominated the 835.52-mile race course outright in the bikes—a feat they achieved for the second year in a row.
The Round 4 of the 2025 SCORE World Desert Championship marked the conclusion of a season filled with thrilling moments and historic achievements across the deserts, mountains, and beaches of the Baja California Peninsula. For the tenth consecutive year, all SCORE events were held in Mexico.
Lynn, 25, Mona, Utah, Klein, 20, Agua Dulce, Calif. and Kamo, 39, San Clemente, Calif. completed a “clean sweep” in SCORE during 2025, winning all four rounds in the Pro Moto Unlimited class. In this Baja 1000, they crossed the finish line aboard the No. 7x Honda CRF450X SLR/Honda with an official time of 17 hours, 55 minutes, and 39 seconds.
It was Honda’s 34th overall victory—the most of any motorcycle brand in the history of the SCORE Baja 1000—far ahead of its closest competitors: Husqvarna (11), Kawasaki (10), Yamaha (2), and KTM (1).
Arturo Salas Junior, 23, Chula Vista, Calif. (Tecate, Mexico), finished second both overall and in the Pro Moto Unlimited class, with a time of 19 hours, 29 minutes, and 28 seconds. He shared riding duties on the No. 11x Hero Racing Honda CRF450X with Shane Logan, 24, Lake Havasu City, Ariz; Ciaran Naran, 25, Huntington Beach, Calif. Jake Hogan, 27, Acton, Calif. and Corey Hammond, 23, Australia.
Shane Esposito, 51, Canyon Lake, Calif., in the Pro Moto 40 class; Jason Alosi, 41, Reno, Nev. in the Pro Moto 30 class; and Harold Harris, 63, Sanger, Calif. in the Pro Moto 60 class, won all four rounds of the 2025 SCORE World Desert Championship, including the BFGoodrich Tires 58th SCORE Baja 1000 in Ensenada, Baja California, Mexico.
Esposito, alongside Francisco Septién, 49, Ensenada, Mexico, Jim O’Neal, 79, Simi Valley, Calif. Rene Magana, 44, Lake Forest, Calif. and Jason Miller, 54, Shiner, Texas, crossed the finish line on the No. 40xx Honda CRF450X in 21 hours, 12 minutes, and 16 seconds.
Alosi, together with Shane Shorno, 38, Livermore, Calif., Tucker Hopkins, 32, Venice, Calif., Michael Lange, 41, San Juan Capistrano, Calif.; and Mickey Fermoile, 37, El Cajon, Calif., enjoyed a unique adventure through the northern Baja California Peninsula aboard the No. 308x Honda CRF450X, finishing in 22 hours, 54 minutes, and 53 seconds.
For Harris, it was his fourth victory in the Pro Moto 60 class. He shared the ride on the No. 600x Husqvarna FE501 with Jeff Miller, 61, Nampa, Idaho; George Pennington, 60, Palmer Lake, Colo., Oscar Hale, 63, Ensenada, Mexico; and Scott Laurrance, 65, Las Vegas.
Larry Serna Junior, 29, Chula Vista, Calif., emerged as the top finisher in the Pro Moto Ironman class, celebrating on Ensenada’s Boulevard Costero after an epic 25 hours, 41 minutes, and 42 seconds aboard his No 715x Honda CRF450X. In this class, riders complete the entire race course without any teammate relief.
Serna reached the podium in every SCORE event this year, winning the SCORE San Felipe 250 and the SCORE Baja 500, and finishing second in the SCORE Baja 400. As a result, he will also receive a 2025 Rod Hall SCORE Milestone Award in January for completing all the miles of this season.
