GLORY DAYS: Kaeding Charges At Terre Haute

Bud Kaeding (pictured) was the fast qualifier during the 34th annual Tony Hulman Classic USAC sprint car event at the Terre Haute (Ind.) Action Track on May 22, 2004.

Kaeding started outside the third row and romped through the field to challenge leader Kory Kruseman when he shredded a right-rear tire with four laps remaining.

Kaeding won three races during the 2004 USAC season and finished second in the standings behind champion Jay Drake.
