SPEEDWAY, Ind. — Juncos Hollinger Racing is pleased to announce that Ricardo Escotto will rejoin the team for the 2026 Indy NXT by Firestone season.
The 21-year-old previously competed with JHR during a five-race stint in mid-2024, before contesting the majority of the 2025 schedule with another Indy NXT team. Escotto now rejoins the organization as it prepares for its return to IndyCar’s top development series.
JHR brings a strong pedigree back to Indy NXT. The team captured championship titles in both 2015 and 2017, and has amassed 18 victories, 18 pole positions, and 51 podium finishes across its participation.
Escotto expressed excitement about reuniting with the team as it pushes forward with high expectations, the junior eager to work towards his long-term goal of competing in the NTT IndyCar Series.
“I’m super excited to be back with Juncos Hollinger Racing for the 2026 Indy NXT Season,” said Escotto. “I have a great relationship with everyone in the team and full trust that they will make this season one to remember.
“Indy NXT by Firestone offers the most competitive and direct pathway to the top level, and I’m proud to represent both JHR and Mexico on this stage. I feel more prepared and motivated than ever, and ready to make the most of this opportunity as I continue building toward my ultimate goal of racing full-time in IndyCar. I can’t wait to get started at the first test in Sebring.”
Escotto’s return coincides with JHR’s reunion with the Dallara IL-15 chassis, which enters its 11th season of competitive racing. The team enters the 2026 Indy NXT season with renewed momentum and firmly focused on returning to the front of the field.
“Ricardo is a talented and highly motivated young driver who has demonstrated consistent growth and resilience at every step of his career,” said Dave O’Neill, Team Principal of Juncos Hollinger Racing. “He brings a strong work ethic and a clear determination to reach the NTT IndyCar Series. Indy NXT by Firestone is about development and performance, and we believe Ricardo has the mindset and capability to make the most of this opportunity with our team.”
