This week’s guests joining host Will Marotti on The Pits Are Open are IndyCar ladder-climber Ayrton Houk, and rising stock car driver Sally Mott.
Ayrton Houk is a rising American open-wheel driver from Indiana progressing through the Road to Indy ladder. A 2021 Kenyon Midget Series champion, he has multiple F1600 wins, a runner-up finish in the F1600 Championship, and was selected for the Team USA Scholarship. He competed in USF2000 in 2024 with DC Autosport (highlight: 4th at Indianapolis Motor Speedway) and returned in 2025 with Benchmark Autosport, finishing inside the top 10 in points. Houk has stated his goal is to climb to IndyCar, expressing confidence that podium results are imminent as his development continues. Ayrton plans to compete in The Kenyon Midget Series and selected IMSA Pilot Challenge races in 2026.
Sally Mott is a rising racing driver known for her determination, precision, and competitive spirit. With a background rooted in grassroots motorsports, Sally has steadily advanced through the ranks by combining raw speed with a disciplined, technical approach to racing. She is recognized for her strong race craft, adaptability across different cars and conditions, and her commitment to continual improvement. Off the track, Sally is an advocate for increased opportunities for women in motorsports, inspiring the next generation through her work ethic, professionalism, and passion for the sport. Sally will be making her NASCAR Late Model debut April 18th at Hickory Motor Speedway.
