NHRA driver Ida Zetterstrom and MX-5 Cup Rookie of the Year Westin Workman join host Will Marotti on tonight’s episode of “The Pits Are Open“, airing at 6pm Eastern on SPEED SPORT 1.

Ida Zetterström is a trailblazing NHRA Top Fuel drag racer and one of Europe’s most accomplished motorsports competitors. A multiple-time FIA European Top Fuel champion, Zetterström made history as one of the few women to successfully transition from European drag racing to the NHRA Camping World Drag Racing Series. Known for her precision, resilience, and engineering-minded approach to racing, she represents the next generation of global drag racing talent. Zetterström combines elite performance on track with strong international appeal, helping expand NHRA’s reach to new fans and markets worldwide.

Westin Workman is a rising star in American sports car racing, competing in the Mazda MX-5 Cup Series with BSI Racing. At just 20, he captured 2024 MX-5 Cup Rookie of the Year honors, finishing 6th in the championship while coring multiple podiums and wins, including thrilling victories at Sebring and Canadian Tire Motorsport Park. Before cars, he was a two-time national karting champion and won the 2023 Mazda MX-5 Cup Shootout scholarship to launch his pro career. Off-track, Workman enjoys training, cars, and advancing through the racing ladder with relentless focus.
