IHRA And SPEED SPORT 1 Expand Broadcast Partnership

MOORESVILLE, N.C. — IHRA and SPEED SPORT 1 announce the expansion of their multi-year broadcast agreement to incorporate the new series IHRA has recently added to its portfolio.

In an unprecedented move, and consistent with a shared vision and business strategy, IHRA racing live broadcasts, streams and world-class productions will remain free to watch, maximizing accessibility for fans and exposure for teams and sponsors.

SPEED SPORT 1, the Great American Motorsports Network, is now available on more than 200 million devices in North America.  It is the official television home for all IHRA racing series, including IHRA Outlaw Nitro Series drag racing, IHRA Stock Car Series, IHRA Offshore Powerboat Racing Series, IHRA Outlaw Drag Boats and more. Each series will be broadcast via a robust mixture of live, tape-delayed and prime-time productions aimed at maximizing entertainment value, access and sponsor opportunities.

IHRA will offer a record purse for offshore powerboat racing.

Events or portions of events not carried live on SPEED SPORT 1 will be streamed live on SPEED SPORT 2 and IHRA.TV, so fans and racers wont miss a moment of the action.  And if they don’t catch an event live, race replays, highlights, bonus content and more will be available on-demand.  SPEED SPORT 1, SPEED SPORT 2 and IHRA.TV are available free via any connected TV, mobile device or gaming console.

“Expanding our partnership with SPEED SPORT 1 allows IHRA to deliver on our promise of building a truly multi-discipline motorsports platform that is racer-first, fan-focused and globally accessible. By keeping our broadcasts free and elevating production standards across every series, we’re creating a powerful engine for growth for our athletes, our fans and our partners.” said IHRA Owner Darryl Cuttell.

Unlike typical livestreams, IHRA broadcasts across the board will include best-in-class production, world class talent, and a focus on storytelling, entertainment and technical innovation.

“It was clear from day one that IHRA was serious about doing something meaningful for motorsports and that resonated deeply with us,” said Joe Tripp, SPEED SPORT CEO. “While we value all of our broadcast partners, IHRA is making a disruptive, positive impact on motorsports in a major way — and we are humbled to be part of that movement.”

In its inaugural, “new era” season, IHRA featured five Outlaw Nitro Events and a wildly popular Pro Mod Nationals event. Combined, the events boasted more than 70 million minutes viewed across platforms, and 3.4 million unique streams.  Live events led the way, generating an average of 80,000 unique streams and 1 million minutes viewed per broadcast.

“2025 was “just a warm-up,” said Dan Teitscheid, SPEED SPORT 1 President. “SPEED SPORT 1 platform partners like Amazon Prime Video, The Roku Channel and Fubo are already excited by the performance of IHRA programming, and with the addition of these really exciting new series, we are absolutely confident IHRA will see record audience numbers and that re-energize the sport and produce new fans and sponsors.”

The 2026 IHRA season kicks off in March with IHRA Outlaw Nitro Series at Darana Motorsports Park in Benson, NC, and the IHRA Stock Car Series at Pulaski Motorsports Park in Radford, VA.  Additional series’ broadcast schedules and details will be released soon.

In the meantime, fans can watch IHRA highlights every Thursday night at 8 p.m. Eastern on SPEED SPORT 1, and will find full event replays, bonus content and more at IHRA.TV.
