PLACERVILLE, Calif. – Parting ways with Moxie Motorsports last week, Placerville Speedway and Sprint Car Challenge Tour Rookie of the Year Shane Hopkins is actively seeking help to fill his racing schedule.
“First off I want to thank Vern Morrison for taking a chance on me and providing me with a great opportunity to get into driving,” Hopkins said. “We have parted ways heading into the 2019 season, and I am looking forward to a new chapter. My family has purchased some equipment that will allow us to get to the track occasionally but I am hoping to secure any opportunities that may be out there to help complete our schedule.”
Putting together a pair of top-five runs at Placerville Speedway during the 2018 season, Hopkins is hoping to compete weekly at the track he calls home in the Hopkins Racing No. 21 machine.
While the team is new and still coming together, the Placerville, Calif., driver is hoping to acquire additional sponsorship to finalize a schedule, or even another driving opportunity to add more races as well.
