Brekke & Kuehl Star At Central Arizona

CASA GRANDE, Ariz. — Central Arizona Raceway will complete the season with a two-day Harvest Hustle Turkey Classic at the high-banked three-eighths-mile track.

Passing/finishing points were used with main events lined up straight up.

The modified main had Chris Tuchscherer lead from his outside front row starting spot four laps until Mike Wedelstadt used the low line in turn four to take the lead.

Two laps later Jess Brekke took the lead in turn four, this time the top groove being the choice.

Brekke led the last 14 laps to win with Wedelstadt pressuring much of the way before finishing second with Tate Johnson third.

The Northern sport mod main was the third win in four races this month for Taylor Kuehl with a second-place finish in the main she didn’t win.

Restarts were not an issue for Kuehl and Clay Erickson settled for second and Tyler Johnson was third while Kuehl was a flag-to-flag winner.

Josh Cain won the stock car main with a turn four pass on the bottom to take the lead on lap five. Rob Moseley lad the first four laps and stayed with Cain for a while but finished second ahead of Larry Brigner.

Jake Jurado dominated the pure stock main to claim a win and hobby stock action had a duel between Joel Magee and Steve Bitting Jr. Magee came out ahead to win.

Dustin Washburn drove the No. 98a machine to a win in dwarf cars and Sadielee Talkington along with Tommy Myers Jr. collected wins in mini-dwarf divisions.
