SEYMOUR, Tenn. – Pierce McCarter won the 12th annual Hangover super late model feature on Saturday at 411 Motor Speedway by 4.633 seconds over David Crabtree.
McCarter, driving the MasterSbilt No. 71 house car, led the final nine laps for the $5,000 payday when mechanical issues dropped race-long leader and polesitter Cory Hedgecock off the pace.
Kirk Phillips, Clay Coghlan and Shane Bailey completed the top five among a 12-car field.
The Hangover at the Tennessee clay oval was originally scheduled for Friday night, but inclement weather pushed the event’s resumption to New Year’s day.
The finish:
Pierce McCarter, David Crabtree, Kirk Phillips, Clay Coghlan, Shane Bailey, Cory Hedgecock, Steve Smith, Kent Keyser, Zach Shannon, Christian Hanger, Dakota Rayburn, Roy Petrey
