SEYMOUR, Tenn. – Jimmy Owens completed a perfect weekend with a $5,000 victory in Saturday’s Spring Sizzler for super late models at 411 Motor Speedway.
Casey Roberts started on the pole for the 40-lap feature after winning the dash, but gave up the lead to Owens on the initial lap. Once out front, Owens never gave up the lead again and turned back challenges from Cory Hedgecock en route to the victory.
Hedgecock finished second, a little more than one second behind Owens. Josh Rice was third, followed by Kent Robinson and Roberts.
The victory was Owens’ second in as many days following his victory at Mississippi’s Magnolia Motor Speedway on Friday evening.
Heats for the event were won by Logan Roberson, Zack Dohm, David Payne and Chase King. Thirty-five cars attempted to qualify for the event.
