Mountain Creek Reopening For Chad Bush Clash

CATAWBA, N.C. — With the current situation surrounding the zoning around Mountain Creek Speedway, the staff and management is confident the track will reopen soon and is expected to be operational for the 3rd annual Chad Bush Clash, November 18-19.

Just a couple week’s ago, the track was forced to close it’s gates due to zoning issues with Catawba County zoning.

“We will be soon be filing an appeal with the county and we are confident the track will be reopened for the Chad Bush Clash,” said track owner and promoter, Adam Stewart. “We are pushing forward in preparation for the Chad Bush race.”

The upcoming Chad Bush Clash will be the third installment of this charity race to benefit the Cabarrus Healthcare Foundation. In the past two years, the race has given almost $25,000 to charity with the hopes of that number increasing this year.

“Hopefully, we will get this all behind us,” said Speedway Communications Director, Derek Pernesiglio. “Chad‘s race has become a signature event at the track these past three years and we want to keep building on this event and also keep the legacy of a great competitor and champion alive.“

The two-day event will see upwards of 17 divisions of racing take to the speedway. Businesses are also joining in with smaller sponsorships of each division racing in the Chad Bush Clash.

The third annual Chad Bush Clash begins Nov. 18 with flat kart and mini modified racing and concludes on Nov. 19 with outlaw kart and micro sprint racing on the one-sixth-mile “Cage at the Creek.”

The event will be broadcast live by SPEED SPORT affiliate Dirt2Media
