Cline Is Mountain Creek Micro Ace

SALISBURY, N.C. — Trevor Cline, Karter Beattie, Christian Hickman and Ryan McAndrew were big winners in the second annual Andrew Bley Memorial Sunday at Mountain Creek Speedway. This race marks the second race of the season for the speedway by the creek.

Mother nature stepped in early cancelling the Cadet, Box Stock and Beginner Box Stock races forcing the track to run the senior classes after the late afternoon rains moved away.

Cline was the big winner in the wingless 600 micro sprint feature after starting on the pole. Twenty cars took the green flag, but it wasn’t an easy win for Cline who had to wrestle the lead away from early race leader Sam Johnson on the bottom in turn four.

The race then became for second place with a thrilling three car battle with Cannon McIntosh, Sam Johnson and Steven Snyder Jr.

When the checkered flag waved, it was Cline with a commanding win over Cannon McIntosh, Sam Johnson, Steven Snyder Jr. and Carson Brown.

Hickman made the long trip from California count as he led wire to win the Andrew Bley Memorial for the Yamaha 450 Outlaws.

Mark Pollardi made a late-race pass to take second away from Dylan Beard. Kyle Shano would come to third after Beard faded. Richard Miller and Dylan Beard completed the top five.

Karter Beattie was the class of the field in the 125cc Intermediate division. Beattie was the fast qualifier, won the heat and led every lap of the main event to win over Spencer Bradshaw, Ryder Hughart and Abby Gunter.

The McAndrew family made the long drive from Pennsylvania count as Colten McAndrew tooth win over Ryan McAndrew in the 270cc/600Restricted main event. Chason Hauck completed the podium.
