KINSTON, Ala. – Bubba Pollard continued his mastery of the Baby Rattler 125 pro late model event at South Alabama Speedway on Saturday night.
Pollard started second and came out on top of a race-long battle with Stephen Nasse to earn his fifth victory in the annual prelude to the Rattler 250 super late model race at the four-tenths-mile asphalt oval.
He took the lead from Nasse for the final time on lap 90 and survived multiple late-race restarts to collect his first victory of the season. It’s his fifth victory in the Baby Rattler 125.
Wes Griffith Jr. finished second, with Nasse settling for third after leading more than half of the race. Dylan Fetcho and Justin South completed the top-five.
Pollard will attempt to sweep the weekend on Sunday after earning the pole for the Rattler 250 earlier Saturday afternoon.
