COLUMBUS, Neb. – Jordan Grabouski, the 2018 IMCA National champion in the modified division, won both the modified and stock car main events at U.S. 30 Speedway Thursday night.
Thursday’s event featured five IMCA divisions, with 81 entries on hand.
Grabouski slid from the bottom of turn four to the top on lap four of the modified main and took the lead in the process. Once in front it was a matter of adding to his lead in the non-stop 20 lap race.
The point leader at the track, Grabouski was followed across the line by second in points Anthony Roth on the racy quarter mile.
Earlier Grabouski took the stock car main in a similar manner, establishing a large lead in a division in which he also leads track points. He is the current National point leader in IMCA modifieds while Roth is ranked third in the country.
Other winners included Ramsey Meyer in sport compacts, his 30th win at the track, and Cameron Wilkinson in the hobby stock division. Cody Thompson took the sport mod finale
Increased payouts meant $1,000 and $600 for Grabouski’s wins. U.S. 30 Speedway ran their usual fast paced show, completing the event in two and a half hours.
