SYRACUSE, N.Y. – The COVID-19 pandemic has struck again, this time taking down the annual Syracuse Motorsports Expo and Trade Show for the second time.
The yearly event held at the Center of Progress building at the New York State Fairgrounds has been forced to cancel the 2021 edition due to the ongoing restrictions caused by the pandemic. Originally scheduled for March 13-14, the show’s promoters are now forced to look ahead to 2022.
“With the current restrictions in place it’s just not going to happen this year,” said show promoter Jeremie Corcoran. “We were hoping things would begin to open back up so we could have the show. Things are getting better, but we’re just not to the point where we can have the show at the Fairgrounds this year.”
Dates are already being planned for the 2022 edition of the event with March 11 being utilized at a setup day with the with the annual tradition carrying on March 12-13.
More details will follow once they become available.
