Scarborough Collects First Airborne Victory

PLATTSBURGH, N.Y. —  Jake Scarborough made his winning pass on lap 11 of the 25-lap J&S Steel Sportsman feature event at Airborne Speedway.

The feature event went green to checkers, which helped Scarborough as he built up a huge lead over the field. In the closing laps, however, Michael Wright was reeling in Scarborough, but ran out of time and settled for second. Tanner Forbes, Travis Bruno and Joey Scarborough completed the top five.

Tylor Terry had his No. 44 car on a rail in the Hartson Total Opening feature event. Terry was dominant in his third win of the year, as he took advantage of his front row starting position to run away from the pack. Richie Turner battled on the outside groove to finish in second, while Tyler Irwin completed the podium. Jason Bogett and Josh Terry finished fourth and fifth, respectively.

The Taylor Rental Street Stock division competed in a 15-lap feature event and Nick Harnden took everyone to class. Harnden had his car hooked up wherever he put it on the track and drove to his second win of the season.

Bill Doner navigated traffic to finish in second and Greg Zindler Jr. finished third. The Tourville duo of Caleb and Kenny completed the top five.

Scott Fitzgerald scored his first Northern Blacktopping Limited Sportsman win of the year. Tony Arquette and Parker Dermody completed the podium.
