STAFFORD SPRINGS, Conn. — Open modified cars returned to Stafford Motor Speedway for their fifth and final visit of the season on Friday, with Woody Pitkat claiming the victory.
Pitkat held off a furious challenge from Ryan Preece over the final five laps of the race to win the Lincoln Tech 80, his third consecutive Open Modified win at Stafford Motor Speedway.
Ronnie Williams finished third, with Teddy Hodgdon and Matt Swanson rounded out the top five.
Williams bested Troy Talman to win the SK modified main event.
Other winners were Adam Gray (late models), Alexander Pearl (Sk Light), Jeremy Lavoie (limited late model) and Travis Downey (street stocks).
