O’Blenis Starts SpeedWeekend In Style

GEARY, N.B. – Dave O’Blenis started SpeedWeekend at Speedway 660 on Friday in a familiar place: Atlantic Modified Tour victory lane.

He topped reigning series champion Yves McCray, substituting in Braxton Stafford’s No. 91. McCray was piloting the same car that won the series’ last race at Speedway Miramichi in August.

Doug Matchett rounded out the podium in the nine-car field.

McCray and Zean Dutcher took home heat wins.

Chris Garnett crossed the finish line first in the Fredericton Gun Shop Sharp Shooter feature, but Matt Martin was awarded the victory when Garnett failed post-race inspection.
