NORTH WOODSTOCK, N.H.— Derek Gluchacki scored his first career victory at White Mountain Motorsports Park (WMMP) in the Foley Oil and Propane Late Model class Saturday night.
Jesse Switser brought the field around to the green flag to begin the feature. Switser fought off constant charges by fellow locals Kasey Beattie and Alby Ovitt, until Gluchacki came into the picture.
The ACT Late Model Champion point leader took the lead just before the halfway point, and never looked back.
Gluchacki took his first WMMP win, followed by Switser and Ovitt.
The Modified Racing Series (MRS) celebrated their 6th event at WMMP with the Milton CAT 100. The field consisted of 16-strong, with some of the top modified teams in Northern New England chasing the $3,000 prize.
Although led from the onset by former NASCAR New Hampshire State Champion Brian Robie, just past the halfway point it was all Kirk Alexander.
Alexander, who hasn’t seen MRS victory lane since 2010, finally reasserted his dominance and earned his 32nd Modified Racing Series victory. Brian Robie held on to finish second and Matt Kimball wrapped up the podium.
The Wells River Chevrolet Flying Tigers was won by Tanner Woodard, taking his first victory of the season.
The Woodsville Guaranty Strictly Stock Minis would go to Chris Moulton, who earned his first White Mountain win.
