LA FARGEVILLE, N.Y. – Tim Fuller brought home the Whitesboro Plow Shop DIRTcar 358 Modified win at Can Am Speedway on Friday night.
Tyler Meeks set the pace early on in the 25-lap feature over Jordan McCreadie and Fuller, who came from tenth to third in the opening lap.
Meeks was fast early on but McCreadie was a bit quicker and took the lead away on lap 9. With McCreadie in front, Fuller was trying to not let him get away as he shot by Meeks for 2nd, then running down McCreadie for the lead.
On lap 13 Fuller used the inside lane to grab the lead from McCreadie off turn 4, with Meeks, Lance Willix and Taylor Caprara making up the top five.
Despite Fuller taking the lead, McCreadie kept him in his sights as he tried to get back to the lead. As the laps wound down, Fuller started to stretch the lead out leaving McCreadie in 2nd with Willix now into the top three.
On this night, it was Fuller claiming his 5th win of the year and 37th Can Am Modified win, which ties him for third all time with legend, Doug “The Ox” Carlyle. McCreadie, Willix, Meeks and Caprara completed the top five.
The Bob Johnson DIRTcar Sportsman feature went to Gavin Eisele, and the Panther Frameworx 602 Crate Sprints win going to Tucker Donath.
Joe Trichilo won the Donath Motorworx Limited Sportsman feature.
Justin Pope earned the win in the Marsha Gibbons TLC Real Estate Thundercar division.
Jason Riddell was the victor in the Eastern Ontario Vintage Stock Car Club event.
