CORNWALL, Ont. — It was championship night at Cornwall Motor Speedway with over 125 cars in attendance.
In the 100-lap Fat Les Chip Stand Canadian Nationals, Carey Terrance and Gage Morin swapped the lead in the first few laps as Sam Charland got on fire and the red flag was out on lap seven.
On the restart, Terrance was back in the lead with Morin in second and Brian McDonald running in third. The leaders got into lap traffic as Brianna Ladouceur caught fire and a second red was out on lap 20.
Terrance pulled away from the field as Mario Clair started to make some noise moving up to third by lap 30. Terrance in front with Morin as many positions were swapped behind him. Terrance was really quick in front of Kyle Dingwall having a strong showing with Felix Roy back in third.
Roy used the inside lane and passed Dingwall on lap 81. Terrance fends off a few charges from Roy to capture the win as Felix Roy got second, enough to help him clinch the Fat Les Chip Stand Canadian Nationals and Corey Wheeler won the JLB Heating and Cooling Modified championship.
Thomas Cook passed Shane Pecore on the final lap to win the 50-lap Race for the Cure Sportsman Series event. Gabriel Cyr was crowned the track champion.
Gabriel Caouette won the 40-lap Clyde Sligner/Farnham Ale Lager Pro-Stock Series feature, while Marc Lalonde was crowned the Alexandria Home Hardware Pro-Stock Champion.
The 20-lap Eastern Ontario Mini-Stock Showdown completed the evening as Marc-Andre Voyer led the final portion of the event to win his first feature. James Clarke was crowned the Ricks Ranch Mini-Stock champion and Pierre Picard the Eastern Ontario Mini-Stock Showdown.
In the 15-lap Fun Zone Inflatables, Skylar Ladouceur was the class of the field as he led the entire event en route to victory.Â
