TNT Speedway Hits The Market

TNT Speedway, a one-third mile banked dirt track in northern Wisconsin, is for sale for the second time in a year.

“It is with great sadness that we share this link and announce the track is for sale or lease,” according to a social media post on the track’s Facebook page made Oct. 28. “Current circumstances, prior commitments and workloads do not allow us to dedicate the time and effort into bringing our dreams for TNT Speedway to fruition.”

After the 2021 season, the track, located in Three Lakes, Wis., about a two-and-a-half-hour drive northwest from Green Bay was sold via auction.

On its website, TNT Speedway said, “Under new ownership, TNT Speedway is positioning itself to be one of the premier racing facilities in the Midwest. 2022 will be a rebuilding and upgrade year with all brand new lighting, barrier and catch fence replacement, surface work as well as many other facility upgrades and changes.”

Zabel-Ackerman Commercial Real Estate in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, is handling the sale. The listing price is $185,000. A real estate listing for the property in 2021 showed an asking price for $239,900.

State property records show a sale of the track from Timothy Rutzen to TJR Investments LLC in February 2017 for $93,000. In December 2021, property records show TJR Investments sold the property to MFBT LLC for $146,300.

The race track consists of 2,500 square feet on 25 acres of property. Features include the third-mile dirt oval, with concession and restroom buildings, and a seating capacity of about 1,800.

The 2021 listing said, “The Northwoods is full of stock car racing fans, both locals and tourists alike which means the opportunity is huge for the next enterprising owner. Everything is in place for new owner’s successful transition.”

The track hosts races on Saturday nights with five divisions. It has hosted touring series such as Dirt Kings Late Model Tour, the Midwest Sprint Car Ass’n and the Impact Survival Series.
