MACON, Ill. – Jose Parga romped to victory in Saturday’s 40-lap pro late model feature that headlined the action at Macon Speedway during KerbyStrong Foundation night.
Parga started the 40-lapper on the pole but would battle for the lead with Billy Knebel, who was racing in a pro late model for the first time at Macon. Knebel would look to hold the lead out of the beginning of the race and was strong. However, a slip-up in the second turn coming to lap 16 put Parga in front and he charged away with the win.
Guy Taylor was a busy man on Saturday, racing in five of the six divisions that competed Saturday night. He triumphed in the BillingsleyRewards.com Modifieds feature, holding off Kyle Helmick for the triumph. He also ran second in the sportsman feature to race winner Tommy Duncan.
Helmick didn’t go winless on the evening, topping the pro mod feature. Randy Huffman won the street stock feature while Michael McKay topped the hornet main event.Â
