LIMA, Ohio — Limaland Motorsports Park opened the gates Friday to celebrate Independence Day weekend with Firecracker Friday and Tribute to “Mr. Excitement” Tim Allison presented by T&D Interiors.
With a great crowd on hand, Kasey Jedrzejek piloted the Ed Neumeister-owned No. 11N to his first ever Limaland victory in Great Lakes Super Sprints competition.
Dylan Woodling took the win for the second straight week in DIRTcar UMP Modified feature action and Todd Sherman added to his career win total by grabbing the Lock Sixteen Thunderstock victory on Friday night.
The 25-lap sprint car feature began with Dustin Daggett and Chase Dunham leading the field to the green flag, with Daggett taking the early race lead.
Dunham would close in on lap seven as the leaders approached lapped traffic, then would use a well-timed slide job in turns three and four on lap eight to take the lead.
The caution flag would wave on lap 11 for Frank Neill slowing to a stop on the frontstretch and at the same time, Dunham hopped the cushion in turn two and slid to a stop on the race track. That forced Dunham to the tail of the field.
Jedrzejek would power to the race lead on lap 12 and only be slowed for one more caution before sailing to the feature win over Daggett, Jared Horstman, Devon Dobie and Phil Gressman.
