England Romps In Lincoln MARA Tilt

LINCOLN, Ill. — Daltyn England raced from seventh-starting position to win the 25-lap MARA midget feature Friday night at Lincoln Speedway.

The division drew 25 cars to the quarter-mile oval, with England holding off Jace Sparks for the triumph. Cale Coons charged from 15th to finish third. Greg Ross and Charles Kunz completed the top five.

Three special events were held in the Pro Late, Modified, and Street Stock classes. The Modifieds had the strongest field of the three and ran the full 30-lap distance with Kelly Kovski taking the impressive victory in his first start behind the wheel this season.

In Pro Late Model action, Braden Johnson used a late race pass to get around Blaise Baker to take the win after a spirited battle at the front. For Johnson, it was his first Lincoln Speedway win.

Rounding out the special affairs, Jaret Duff moved to 2-0 on the season at the quarter-mile track, holding off a charging Randy Huffman.
