CLEARFIELD, Pa. — The visiting Thunder Cars made their way to Hidden Valley Speedway on Friday night for the first feature of the evening with Jake Shoup and Bill Sterner on the front row, with Shoup taking the lead and setting the pace, leading from start to finish.
He was victorious by a straightaway over second-place Sterner. Sonny Williamson was third, Wesley Young was fourth and Michael Danner was fifth. Sterner won the heat.
Prior to intermission the Junior Four Cylinders ran their feature event with Andrew Dysard and Draven Reid on the front row. Reid shot into the lead and looked like he could be headed for his second straight win, but Steh Fulmer was hot on his tail and he caught the leader late in the race.
They ran side-by-side off the second turn and into turn three on lap five, and Reid got a little high in turn four, allowing Fulmer to take the lead and hold on for the win. Reid held on to second with Jackson Shugarts third, Dysard was fourth and Blake Little was fifth.
