PORT ROYAL, Pa. — The Port Royal Speedway team has made the decision to cancel racing activities for the weekend of March 23.
The competition committee has kept a close eye on the weather report for the upcoming weekend over the past week in hopes for a better report, but expect a significant amount of rainfall at the track as well as cooler temperatures and high wind gusts that aren’t fit for racing.
The committee also looked at the potential of running another date throughout the weekend, but with racing going on throughout the community in central Pennsylvania, they wanted to allow their neighboring tracks to get their seasons started and celebrate the opening weekends of their seasons.
The team looks forward to seeing race fans on March 30 for Weikert Livestock 410 sprint cars, Selinsgrove Ford super late models, and Zimmerman Truck Repair limited late models.
