Hidden Valley Pure Stock Goes To Fields

CLEARFIELD, Pa. — Josh Fields picked up his first Amsoil Pure Stock feature win of the season Saturday night at Hidden Valley Speedway.

The Wild and Woolly Amsoil Pure Stocks saw Ron Benton and Fields on the front row, as Benton took the lead and Brad Benton was a close second, dropping Fields to third and Ryan Jones in fourth.

Fields was able to get past Brad Benton on lap six, setting his sights on the leader Ron Benton. On lap eight, Fields was side-by-side with Ron Benton at the line, as they went into the first turn, they were still door-to-door, but Ron Benton spun to bring out the caution.

On the restart, Benton pitted and Fields was the new leader, as he held off Brad Benton for his first ever HVS feature win. Brad Benton was second, Jones was third, Ryan Shaffner was fourth and Joe Kephart was fifth.

John Brown claimed the Jesse Mayhew Memorial for his third win of the season in the Craig’s Welding and Fabrication Four Cylinders. 

Other repeat winners include: Steven Scaife Jr. in the Scaife Racing Supplies Semi Lates, Hayden Holden of in the Small Block Modifieds, and Fuzzy Fields in the Street Stocks.
