Track conditions forced the postponement of last night’s World of Outlaws Late Model Series Topless Showdown at The Dirt Track @ Lowe’s Motor Speedway in Concord, N.C. The 50-lap event will be run tonight. Separate incidents during the evening’s first heat sent series regular Chub Frank and former Carolina Clash champion Jeff Cooke to a local hospital. Frank was back at the speedway when the postponement announcement was made, but Cooke remains hospitalized with facial injuries.

The IRL IndyCar Series will officially announce Izod as the series title sponsor at 2 p.m. today in Indianapolis. Visit www.nationalspeedsportnews.com after 2 p.m. for full coverage of the announcement.
