MOORESVILLE, N.C. — Young’s Motorsports has announced that Kris Wright will drive for the team during the upcoming NASCAR Camping World Truck Series season.
Wright will drive the team’s No. 02 Chevrolet Silverado, replacing outgoing driver Tate Fogleman.
“I’m really looking forward to working with Kris this season,” said Tyler Young, Young’s Motorsports team principal. “He’s had success in everything he’s raced and we are excited to get going in 2021.”
Wright previously focused on open-wheel and sports car racing before transitioning to stock car racing during the 2020 season. He made his ARCA Menards Series debut last year, which included a runner-up result in ARCA Menards Series West competition at the Utah Motorsports Campus.
He also made one NASCAR Camping World Truck Series start at the Daytona Int’l Speedway Road Course, finishing 25th.
“I am really excited to be joining Young’s Motorsports for the 2021 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series,” Wright said. “Last year was my introduction to stock car racing and I will be applying what I have learned to this year’s competitive class. I am looking forward to a successful season with Tyler and his crew.”
