BRISTOL, Tenn. – Grant Enfinger will pick up right where he left off a week ago for Thursday’s UNOH 200 presented by Ohio Logistics at Bristol Motor Speedway.
Enfinger, who won the NASCAR Gander RV & Outdoors Truck Series regular-season finale at Richmond (Va.) Raceway last Thursday, will lead the field to green for the series’ playoff opener after landing the pole by virtue of NASCAR’s performance-based qualifying matrix.
The Alabama veteran’s win, combined with the third-fastest race lap and his fourth seed in the reset point standings, gave him a leading score of 2.35 over the 38-driver field.
Past series champion Brett Moffitt will flank Enfinger on the front row, setting up a Ford vs. Chevrolet battle at the start of Thursday night’s 200-lap slugfest at the .533-mile concrete bullring.
Two of Enfinger’s ThorSport Racing teammates – Ben Rhodes and Matt Crafton – start third and fourth, respectively, at Bristol. Regular-season champion Austin Hill rolls from fifth.
Zane Smith, Tyler Ankrum, Sheldon Creed, Chandler Smith and Christian Eckes fill out the first five rows of the starting lneup. Smith starts ninth because his No. 51 Kyle Busch Motorsports team is in the owner championship playoffs.
Todd Gilliland starts lowest among the driver championship contenders in 11th.
