Bob Germain announced Monday night that he has sold his NASCAR Cup Series charter, with Germain Racing departing NASCAR at the end of the season.

Germain Racing has confirmed that Matt Borland, the crew chief of the No. 13 Chevrolet driven by Ty Dillon in the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series, has been suspended indefinitely by NASCAR.
Team owners Bob Germain and Jay Robinson have teamed up to field the No. 27 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 for driver Casey Mears in an attempt to qualify for the Daytona 500.

Duracell has signed on to become an associate sponsor of the Germain Racing No. 13 GEICO Chevrolet SS and driver Casey Mears in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series.
GEICO has extended their relationship with Germain Racing as the primary sponsor of the No. 13 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series entry driven by Casey Mears through at least the end of the 2018 season.
